Susan E. Turner celebrated her 61st birthday on the Wings of Angels. She was born August 2, 1949, to Jim and Nanette Patterson and died August 2, 2010 after an 18 month battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents. Susan is survived by her husband, Al; daughter, Christy Holmes; son, Jamie; two grandchildren, Shelby and Dusty Holmes; a sister, Brenda Johnson; and a brother, Jeff Patterson and wife Kim. She spent 23 years at Glendale High School and was a charter member of Queen City Eagles Aux #3934. Throughout her entire life she taught us all how to accept adversity with grace and courage. Memorial services will be held, at the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #3934, 603 W. Plainview Rd. at 3 p.m., Wednesday. A memorial visitation will be held tonight from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Lions Eye Bank.
