Stuart Todd Wheeler, age 52, Nixa, Missouri passed away Monday, March 2, 2026.

He was born the son of Jack and Elizabeth Wheeler in Springfield, Missouri.

Stuart graduated high school and Votec for Diesel Mechanic.

He served in the Air Force after graduation, being stationed at Whiteman Air Force Base.

Stuart was preceded in death by his grandparents: Wilbur and Mary Etta (Teague) Wheeler, Charles and Irene (Wagner) Duff, and Grandma Janie (Frost) Duff, Uncles: Charles Raymond Duff, James Louis Duff and Hayward Ray Jr.

He is survived by his wife Cindy of the home, parents Jack and Elizabeth, brother Samuel, son, Austin, daughters, Bethany and Tiffany, grandchildren, Aubrie, Elijah and Tyler and many more aunts, uncles, and cousins who will miss him very much.

Stuart was a loving husband, son, father, brother, and papa to his family. He was a talented mechanic beyond compare. He could tear something apart and put it back together with no problems. Stuart always had a smile on his face for family and friends along with a big bear hug to brighten your day. He had one of the biggest hearts a person could have. He was always there to help others, expecting nothing in return. Stuart loved his dogs, Bailey and King, just like they were his best friends. He will be missed terribly.

Stuart's service will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, March 6, 2026, with Bishop Emeritus John L. Leibrecht officiating, under the direction of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until service time. Graveside service with full military honors will be held in Resurrection Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home to help with burial expenses.
