Steven Michael Andrade was born October 13,1960 in Los Angeles, California to Marguerite Janet (Garner) Dooley and Anthony Joseph Rubino. Steven would later change his name to Andrade (Steven's stepfather). Steven and his mother had lived several places in his early life including Hollywood, California and Moloka'i, Hawaii before settling in Willard, Missouri to be near family. Steven Graduated from Willard High School in 1978. After high school, Steven joined the United States Navy, and following boot-camp and advanced training, Steven was assigned to the USS St. Louis LKA-116 where he served our great nation for 2 years. Steven returned to Missouri to live, study and work. In 1995 he attended Vatterott College where he studied the Commercial Lettering Trade. Steven had held several jobs through the years but settled into Armed Security which by his own words he "thoroughly loved".

Steven enjoyed making knives, especially with unusual handles and Damascus blades. His collection of knives were meticulously honed to a razor-sharp edge. He always said, "a dull knife helps no-one". He also enjoyed shooting sports and was frequently seen attending the local gun shows in hopes of finding that "rare collectible"!

Steven was a dedicated son, living with and caring for his mother Janet most of his adult life until her passing in 2022. He always had a smile on his face and made friends with everyone. His sense of humor was contagious, and he could always bring a smile to your face. Devout in his faith he was never afraid of what would become of him as "he knew where he was going".

Steven was preceded in death by grandparents Noland and Marguerite F. (Omans) Garner, mother, Marguerite Janet (Garner) Dooley and her husband John Dooley.

Steven is survived by his second cousins Brooks & Kimberly Omans and their family, step-family June, Lori and Carol Lupescu and many friends.

An Informal Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 from 2:00 - 6:00 PM at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home where friends can come and go to pay their respects.

Graveside Service with Full Military Honors will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, May 1 in Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
