Steve VanBenthusen, 70, died peacefully at 4:20am on January 2, 2025. Steve was born on October 27, 1954 in Kansas City, Missouri to Carl and Bonnie VanBenthusen.
He is survived by his son Patrick VanBenthusen and wife Kim of Orlando, FL; sister-in-law Carol VanBenthusen of Springfield, Mo; girlfriend Enid Guagliardo of Fair Grove, Mo; three cousins, Chuck Vaughn, Danny and Marc Deckard; and many, many friends. He is preceded in life by his dearly departed wife Debra VanBenthusen, brother Ronald VanBenthusen, and his parents Carl and Bonnie VanBenthusen.
Steve owned his own business and was an accomplished cabinet maker and carpenter. Steve contributed to the woodworking of Rosie O'Gradys and Cheyenne Saloon in Orlando, Fl. Steve enjoyed traveling, hunting for Indian arrowheads, and playing the guitar. Steve was a wonderful husband, father, and dear friend to us all. Steve had an incredible wit and was able to make friends from strangers. He has forever touched our hearts and will be truly missed.
