Obituary

The Lord called Steve Brown to his Heavenly home at 5:22am on Sunday, April 17, 2016.

Steve was born on August 10, 1945 to W. Frank, Jr. and Charlene Brown in Poplar Bluff, MO. Steve received his Bachelors of Arts Degree from Central Methodist University in 1967 and went on to receive his law degree from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville in 1970.

Steve met Donna Raye Miller, the love of his life, while attending law school. They were married shortly thereafter on June 1, 1968, and were blessed with three boys, Steve Jr., Mike, and Donnie.

Steve practiced with the Federal Public Defenders Office for 31 years until his retirement in 2005.

Steve was a family man first and foremost. He devoted his life to The Lord, his family, and his career. He was a wonderful provider and loved his family with all of his heart. He had an infectious laugh and sense of humor. He could put anyone at ease. He was very generous and tender hearted, even willing to give the shirt off his back to anyone who needed it.

Steve was preceded in death by his grandparents, W. Frank, Sr. and Ona Mae Brown, and Charlie and Lena Maggard; his parents, W. Frank, Jr. and Charlene Brown. He is survived by his loving wife Donna (Springfield, MO); his children, Steve Jr. and wife, Ronda (St. Louis, MO); Mike and wife, Jennifer (Sevierville, TN); Donnie and wife, Michele (Springfield, MO); his grandchildren, whom he was extremely proud of, Caden, Nate, Sam, and Drew; and many other relatives and friends.

Steve was dearly loved by his family, friends, and church, and will be deeply missed.
