Stephen Michael Rogers passed away on January 1 ^st 2023 unexpectedly from a short illness. He was 38. He was born in Tulsa Oklahoma on September 18 ^th , 1984. He attended Glendale High school in Springfield, Missouri and worked as an underwriter for Gershman Mortgage.

Stephen was an amazing husband, son, grandson, brother, uncle, and friend. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, his friends and family. He loved his dogs, floating, fishing, traveling, and spending time with the people he loved most.  He was an avid sports fan, and always cheered for the Chiefs and Cardinals.

Stephen was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Thomas R Latimer and Harry K Rogers, an aunt, Joanie M Summers, and uncles, Danny Rogers and Richard Click.

Stephen is survived by his wife, Kate Kumar-Rogers, mother, Janelle Latimer-Rogers, his father & best friend, Bruce Rogers, stepmother, Holly Rogers, his siblings, Shannon Rogers-Renfro, Rebecca Rogers, Travis & Nichole Harrison and Brian Rogers, nephew, Gavin Spurlin, nieces, Maddisyn and Emma Renfro, Ellie, Olivia & Grace Harrison, his grandmothers, Willetta Latimer and Bonnie Jo Rogers, and many aunts, uncles and cousins which he loved dearly. His close friends were many, and he considered them brothers. Stephen is also survived by his fur babies, Lenny and Layla Rogers.

Services will be held at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home, 1947 E. Seminole in Springfield. Visitation will be 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Thursday January 5, 2023, and Funeral is at 10:00 AM, Friday, January 6, 2023 followed by graveside at Maple Park Cemetery, Springfield, MO.

Donations are welcome at the Springfield Humane Society, or the American Diabetes Foundation in lieu of flowers.
