Stephen Maddox, age 64, went to the Lord January 14, 2018 in Springfield, MO after a courageous battle with cancer.

Stephen was born August 10th in St. Louis to John and Virginia (Walsh) Maddox and moved to Springfield in 1964.  He graduated from St. Agnes High School in 1971, SMSU in 1976 and UMKC School of Pharmacy in 1979.  He was a member of Holy Trinity Parish, the Knights of Columbus, APhA, and Yosemite Conservation.  He had a passion for the outdoors and the National Park System and sports, especially the University of Notre Dame and St. Louis Cardinal baseball.

Stephen was preceded in death by his mother Virginia and sister-in-law Debbie Maddox.  He is survived by the love of his life, wife Brenda; his father John; children, John (wife Jessica), Brian, Christopher, Lauri Fisher (husband Jeremy) and Lance Kilgore.  He is also survived by four grandsons and one granddaughter, as well as a multitude of friends, neighbors and coworkers.

Rosary will be held Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home, with visitation to follow until 8:00 p.m.  Funeral Mass will be Thursday, January 18, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
