Shirley Jean Julian 90, Springfield, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, May 05, 2009, in St. John's Regional Health Center. She was born August 28, 1918 to Clarence and Edith Powell in Joplin, Missouri. Shirley and her family moved to Springfield when she was only a few months old. She was a lifelong member of South Street Christian Church. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Charles L. Julian, her parents, and a sister Pattie Kaiser. She is survived by a son Jack L. Julian, and wife Daranee; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews, and friends. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 9, 2009 in Eastlawn Cemetery, under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel.
