Shirley was born March 18, 1937 in Gideon, Missouri and was called into the presence of her Lord and Savior March 6, 2025 from Cox Hospital in Springfield, Missouri where she heard HIM say, "Well Done Thou Good and Faithful Servant".

Shirley was raised in Gideon by her mother Jewell C. Wadsworth who preceded her in death along with her brother Donald Gene (Josephine) Wadsworth, and Sister Rita (Kullman) Lackey.

Raising three young in kids in southeast Missouri by yourself in the 1930's and 40's was not an easy task, but Shirley was taught the importance of hard work. Shirley graduated from Gideon High School in 1954. After graduation, she moved to St. Louis and started her career with Bell Telephone. She worked for Bell Telephone in St Louis, Springfield, and Sacramento, California where she retired, but remained active in the Pioneers Union Group here in Springfield until she passed.

Shirley was a longtime member of Ridge Crest Baptist Church. She loved her church and Sunday School Class so much! Y'all were such an important part of her life!

Left to mourn her passing is husband Jim Hair of Springfield, Missouri; Jim's sons Andrew (Mary Jane) Hair of El Paso,Texas; and Chris Hair of Springfield, Missouri, along with six nieces, and nephews that all loved her so much.

Visitation will be held March 11, 2025 from 10:00-11:00 AM in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home followed by funeral service at 11:00 AM with Dr. Jeremy Muniz officiating. Graveside service will be March 12, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ridge Crest Baptist Church.
