Shirley E. Griter, 86, of Springfield, MO passed away August 16, 2024. She was born in Springfield to Earnest and Maggie Weiherer.

She was a member of National Avenue Christian Church. Shirley owned her own business, Creations by Shirley, for several years and was an invited Artisan at Silver Dollar City in Branson, MO for over 20 years. Creations by Shirley specialized in custom pressed flower pictures, commemorating special events. She loved her family and her pets.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Richard Griter; sister, Judith Cotter and niece, Kelli Snyder.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Debbie Jones (Mike) of Springfield; son, Jeff Griter (Jenny) of North Carolina; grandchildren Elizabeth Jones (Ryan Sullivan) of Maryland, Matthew Jones (Jess) of North Carolina, Don Litton (Alyson) of North Carolina and Michelle Litton of Missouri; great grandchildren Matthew Joseph Jones, Wyatt Litton and Isabell Litton; sister, June Snyder of Springfield and nieces Julie Cotter Hindrichs (Brian), Sherry Griter Burean, Kim Griter Boyers (JC) and Michelle Griter Dioszeghy.
