Shirley Ann Elias, age 73, passed away at 7:58 a.m. on December 5, 2009 in her home. She was born July 24, 1936 in Springfield, Mo to Dolpha Morgan and Alta Belle Medley Hamilton. She was a waitress at the 89er Restaurant for several years and also a hostess at Gee's East Wind for many years. She married Michael G. Elias in October 1953 and they enjoyed 52 years together before his passing in 2005. She enjoyed being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. To this union three daughters were born and survive her, Annie Pertuche (David) , Theresa Hansen (Steve), and Michele Jarvis; as well as three grandchildren, Dustin and Crystal Hansen and Michael Jarvis; and two great-grandchildren, Cameron and Treyton Hansen, as well as two brothers. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday December 8, 2009 at the Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home officiated by Reverend Fergus Monaghan. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday December 7, 2009. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Compassus, 1465 S. Primrose Springfield, Mo. 65804.
