Shirlee Ann Kath of Springfield passed away on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 in Select Specialty Hospital.  She was born on September 29, 1947 in Wisconsin Rapids, WI to Albert and Grace Kath.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her younger brother, James Kath.

She is survived by her brother, Gary Kath and his wife Rose of Springfield; sister, Marilyn Seboe and her husband Don (Auburndale, WI); brother, Rick Kath (Steven's Point, WI); son, Shannon Zabroski and his wife Hollie (Lee's Summit, MO); daughter, Shelly Engel and her husband Blake (Ankeny, IA); daughter, Cyndy Zabroski (Winthrop Harbor, IL); daughter, Tiffany Young and her husband Ken (Mesa, AZ); seven grandchildren, Kylie, Trinity, Corban, Chloe, Shiloh, Reese and Kaleb; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Shirlee was raised on a dairy farm in Rudolph, Wisconsin.  She married in April of 1967 and moved to Zion, Illinois where she raised her four children.  She was the perfect blend of being soft-hearted and caring, yet witty and sarcastic at the same time. She loved being able to work with people which showed in her church involvement.  She taught 4-year old Sunday School for many years and is well loved by many of her church friends.

Shirlee loved everyone, was always cooking or baking for visitors (her lasagna and chocolate chip cookies are out-of-this-world!) and loved spending time with her family.  Her greatest accomplishment, though, was raising her children to love God and follow Him, leaving behind a great legacy.  She loved the Lord with all her heart.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 9, 2018 in Maranatha Village Chapel, 233 E. Norton Rd, under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., Friday in the Chapel.
