Sherman Dale McCall, 79 Yrs old, passed away, Monday, April 22, 2013 at Riverview Manor in Ozark MO. He was born August 8, 1933 in Mountain Grove MO to Johnnie and Maye (Shelley) McCall. Sherman was raised on a farm outside Mountain Grove MO, obtained a GED, and later attended MSU in Springfield, MO. He served in the ARMY from 1955-1962 as a Sergent mechanic, serving two years in Germany. He achieved SE6 and earned a Metal of Good Conduct. Sherman worked for Royal Typewriter, Mid American Dairy and lastly spent 35 years working at Fasco Industries in Ozark, MO as Department 09 Supervisor, retiring in 2003. Sherman loved God. He was raised in church and led music for a small local church in Springfield, that he also helped build many years ago. He and his wife were members at James River Assembly in Ozark. He also loved his family and spent leisure time camping and tinkering with his cars. Sherman is survived by his wife Betty through 58 years of marriage, two sons and their families, including 4 granddaughters, and 2 great grandsons. The families are: Jimmy McCall, his wife Laura, with daughters Heather and Tina, Kevin McCall, his wife Kristy, with daughters Karley and Katie. Funeral Services will be held at 9:30 am on Friday, April 26th , 2013 at Gorman Scharpf Funeral Home, in Springfield, with burial to follow in Missouri Veterans Cemetery with full Military Honors. Visitation will be from 6-7 PM on Thursday, April 25th, also in the funeral home. Donations can be made to the Gideon's foundation.
