Sheila Irene Lantis, 72, Springfield Missouri passed away September 1, 2011. She was born August 31, 1939 to Clyde and LaPreal Bodley in Torrance, CA. Sheila was united in eternal marriage to Jack Lantis on December 23, 1960 in the Los Angeles, CA Temple. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Sheila was preceded in death by her parents, and two granddaughters. She is survived by her husband Jack Lantis, Springfield Missouri; sister, Sharon Bromby; brother, Les Bodley; brother-in-law, David Lantis; four daughters, Lynne, Bonnie, Norlene, and Kim; a son, Eric; ten grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at 1 PM in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 4450 S. Farm Rd. 141, Springfield, under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from noon until service time in the church. Burial will follow in Maple Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints Perpetual Education Fund.
