Obituary

Sharron Lee Altaffer -Todd | January 8 th , 1939 – October 10 th 2022

Sharron Todd was a loving sister, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was known for her smile, sense of humor and strong will. Even after losing most of her sight to macular degeneration, she continued to live on her own until the age of 83 years old.

Sharron enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren at holidays and family gatherings. Sharron made it a priority to make friends, neighbors, and family feel special, always picking out the right Hallmark card to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, or special occasion.

Sharron loved all types of music from country, to classic to pop. During her short time at The Maples, you couldn't go into her room without hearing Neil Diamond playing on Alexa.

She graduated from Central High School, and the highlights of her work history includes Capitol Glass, Lilly Tulip, Heer's Department Store, Edco, and Bass Pro.

Sharron is survived by her brother Ronald Webb, of Springfield Missouri, her daughter and son- in-law, Marlene and Gerald Chism, her son Scott Todd; and her son and daughter-in-law Jeff and Lisa Todd, three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren all of Springfield, Missouri.

The memorial service will be on Friday October 28th at Maple Park Cemetery, 300 W Grand Street, at 1:00 PM.

Send cards to Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home, 1947 E Seminole St, Springfield, MO 65804. Donations can be sent to Missouri Council of the Blind.
