Shannon Dean, 46, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2012 in McAlester, Oklahoma. She was born November 9, 1965 in Forrest City, Arkansas to D. Ray and Evelyn (Holloway) Massey. She married Alan Dean on August 17, 1985 in Springfield, MO. She worked for the McAlester Public School system and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in McAlester. Shannon is survived by husband, Alan Dean; children, Christopher Ray Dean, Savannah Rose Dean and Brandy Michelle Dean; parents, D. Ray and Evelyn Massey; in-laws, Paul and Edna Dean; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be held Thursday, March 1, 2012 at 2 p.m. in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. Burial will follow in Rivermonte Memorial Gardens.
