Obituary

S é amus Andrew Williams, age 22 died at home on Saturday, May 6, 2023.

Terra Williams and James Williams had the honor of welcoming him into the world on Monday, October 2, 2000.

'Moose' spent his childhood in the sun – building forts, playing in the pool, and exploring his way through the odds and ends of his neighborhoods with his siblings. Scraped knees and boundless curiosity had a consistent and glorious presence across his whole life. He loved co-piloting with his Papa Chris, laughing about anything and everything with his Papa Jim, and being spoiled with food and loved by his Polly and Grandma Margaret.

Moose's brothers and sisters are honored to have some of the very best memories with the kid himself. Kiefer loved sharing music and poetry with Seamus and they had dreams of traveling to the mountains together to write songs amongst the trees. Montana remembers Seamus sneaking into her room at night during thunderstorms, and collectively achieving epic snow sledding. Katrina thinks about belly laughing at S é amus' seamless ability to be the funniest person in the room, and she remembers begging to play with his hair. Nate has a tattoo of a moose on his back, and Seamus had a tattoo of a dog in honor of each other's nicknames. Aidan remembers the countless bumps and bruises of them taking turns flying down the driveway on bikes and skateboards, also getting cashew chicken on Sundays with Seamus and his dad. Noah's memories are filled with playing hours of videogames and watching (and reenacting) WWE fights.

S é amus' life was fueled by adventure, whether it was digging through the woods of Arkansas as a child, exploring miles of Tokyo on foot, or skating the late-night streets of Manhattan. Most of all, he loved his friends, especially his best friend Duncan Livingston. From the time that they started playing league soccer together, it was clear that they each had found their match. After walking high school graduation together, they spent two weeks in Tokyo, knowing no one and speaking no Japanese. In August of 2020, Seamus and Duncan moved to a Lower East Side apartment, making their mark (sometimes literally) and soaking up the city.

Upon moving back to Missouri, S é amus landed in Columbia with his friend Jordan. S é amus worked as Back of House Manager at PaPPo's Pizzeria & Pub. He always spoke highly of his work crew, especially his Manager Tyler.

Moose's life was rich with family living far and wide. He's loved by his parents James and Terra; step-parents Jacob and Victoria; siblings Kiefer, Montana and her husband Jordan, Katrina and her partner Biz, Nathan, Aidan, and Noah; grandparents Margaret, Chris, and Paula; his aunts and uncles Tammy and John, Cynthia, and Garth; his best friend Duncan; his roommate Jordan and pup Hopper; his close friends Eli and Tyler; family friend Joe; along with several cousins, great aunts and uncles, and extended family. Too many to count are the friends that he loved and who loved him back.

He loved every dog he met, live music, mosh pits, collecting tattoos, thrifting, lifted trucks with big tires, skateboarding, and making conversation with anyone and everyone who was fortunate enough to meet him. He was the most kind, the funniest, the coolest, the most unique. With all these words, nothing will capture S é amus in all the ways we knew him and love him. We will carry you forever – love you, Moose.
