IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Scott Edward
Cuff
May 7, 1949 – July 12, 2021
Scott Edward Cuff, 72, of Springfield, Missouri, peacefully passed away on July 12, 2021, surrounded by loved ones.
Scott was born on May 7, 1949, to Edward and Vivian Cuff in Wahpeton, North Dakota. He grew up in North Dakota riding horses but soon graduated to extra horsepower. He built a hot rod, put together a disassembled VW bug, and loved riding and working on motorcycles.
After Scott graduated from Henning High School in 1967, he pursued a degree in Biology at the University of Minnesota-Morris before going on to pursue a pharmacy degree at University of Minnesota School of Pharmacy.
After graduation, he worked in the pharmacy field until he medically retired due to Multiple Sclerosis in 1990. Scott was passionate about helping others and loved what he did for a living. He volunteered as a pharmacist at The Kitchen in Springfield, helping the underserved populations for as long as he was able after he retired.
On April 14, 1973, Scott wed Connie Godding in Eagle Bend, Minnesota. Scott and Connie had three children: Peter, Amber, and Angie. He worked very hard for his family. He had learned to be handy at fixing things working for his dad's construction company in his youth. He renovated multiple rental houses in Austin, MN, late at night after working all day at the pharmacy. After moving to Springfield, he built a large shed, a garage, several forts for his kids, a basketball goal for Angie, and gardens for his wife. After the MS prevented him from tackling the big projects, he still took apart dishwashers and mowers and made them run again - sometimes with parts to spare!
In his later years, he enjoyed movies, reading, and spending time with his family. He was also a man of faith and attended Evangel Temple Assemblies of God, as well as participating in a men's bible study group for many years. His life verse was 2nd Corinthians 12:9. And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, My strength is made perfect in weakness."
Scott was predeceased by his mother and father. He is survived by his wife Connie; son Peter (Shannon), Lila, and Grant; daughter Amber (Jason); daughter Angie; sister Rae (Rick) Erickson; brother Tim (Lynette) Cuff; sister Lyn; sister Catherine; numerous nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home on July 16th with visitation at 10:00 AM, with service to follow at 11:00 AM. The family kindly requests that all attendees wear properly fitted masks. Thank you for helping to keep our loved ones safe.
