Savoy Lewis Tureaud, 53, Springfield, passed away Saturday, March 13, 2010. He was born June 15, 1956 in Springfield. He served his country in the Marines Corps and was a carrier for the U.S. Postal service for over 15 years. He was an avid Cardinals Fan. He was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Lois Tureaud and a brother, Lawrence (Butch) Tureaud. Savoy is survived by his son, Savoy, Jr., Washington D.C.; two granddaughters, FaMiyah Genea and Tymia Rockell; his fiance, Angel Marie, Springfield; seven siblings, Joe Brown and his wife, Janelle, Springfield; Bobby Brown, New York; Patricia Starks and Ella Tureaud, both of Springfield; Arthur Tureaud, St. Louis; Arzo Tureaud, Florida; Penitia Cross, Springfield; and Miles McMorris, St. Louis; aunts and uncles; a host of nieces and nephews; and a special family member, Katherine Bronson. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 19, 2010 in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. Burial with full military honors will follow in Missouri Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until service time Friday in the funeral home.
