Obituary

Sarah Berneice Williams known by family as "Neicy" died Friday April 9, 2010 in her home in Springfield, Mo. She was born October 5, 1917 in Wetumka, Okla. to Lee and Rose Jones. She is preceded in death by her parents, Tom, her husband of 40 years, two sisters, Margaret Martien and Rose Lee Hines, on brother, Bill Jones and her companion cat, Ms Kitty. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Williams SL (Sister of Loretto), three nephews, Charles Martien, Mike Jones, Jim Hines and four neices, Sandy Vaughn, Paula Jones, Katey Haley and Janie Dye. Neicy is survived by many great neices and nephews and their children, friends, and members of the Loretto Community. Neicy became a member of the Loretto Community in 1988. Today she is celebrating in her 21st year of her life as a Loretto co-member. Co-membership is an opportunity to nourish your own spirituality and to contribute to the ongoing gospel mission of the community in its commitment to peace and justice. Visitation will be Tuesday April 13 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm and a Prayer Service at 7:00 under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home, 1947 E Seminole St. Funeral Mass will be held at 1:30 pm April 14 at St. Agnes Cathedral with the Rev. Mike McDevitt and Rev. Msgr. Reidy, presiding. Burial in St Mary's Cemetery, Springfield. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Hospice Compassus, 1465 E Primrose Springfield, MO 65804 or to the Loretto Community Development Office, 4000 S Wadsworth Blvd. Littleton, CO 80123.
