Sarah Faralee (Vaughn) Moreno was born December 10th, 1908 in Centerhill, Florida to Lindsey and Mary Vaughn. Sarah lived most of her 102 years in Lebanon, Missouri and worked as an LPN in the nursery at Lebanon's Wallace Hospital. Sarah raised three children, Mary Fulton-Caffey, Judy Jensen and Tim Moreno. She was a long-time member of the 2nd Baptist Church of Lebanon. Sarah enjoyed bird watching, home cooking, soap operas, a good joke, walking in her neighborhood, and music; she played the piano by ear and enjoyed listening to music right up to her passing on November 15, 2011. She also loved spending time with her family, including 7 grandchildren: Monte Fulton, Carla Fulton, April Fulton Nanos, Amber Fulton Hocut, Shaun Jensen, Sarah Jensen, and Eric Jensen as well as 6 great-grandchildren: Anna, Audrey, Will, Matthew, Jett and Jaisie. Sarah was known by everyone who met her for her dry sense of humor. She often surprised you with her clever quips and left you shaking your head in amazement at her quick wit. She participated in skits with her grandkids and had quite the ability to ad lib at just the right moment. Although we will greatly miss Sarah (our mother, grandmother, great grandmother, "Gram", and friend), we are confident Heaven became an even more joyful, loving and funny place upon her arrival. We welcome those who knew Sarah to join the family in celebration of Sarah Moreno's life with music & fellowship on Saturday, November 26th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 at the Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. We would like to thank St. John's Hospital Hospice, James River Care & Rehabilitation Center, Angela Collins-Laster and the Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home, and the staff at the Manor at Elfindale for the kindnesses and care shown to Sarah and family.
