Sandra Friedhofen Stinson, 83, passed away in her home surrounded by her family on Friday, February 18, 2022. She was born on August 9, 1938 in Springfield, Missouri to Andrew and Cozette Friedhofen. Sandra graduated from Central High School in 1956.

Sandra married Jack, her high school sweetheart, and they were married for 63 loving years. Jack and Sandra spent many weekends at the lake, enjoyed camping, dancing, bowling and lots of activities with their children and grandchildren. She was a member at National Heights Baptist Church. Most recently, Sandra was employed at Sam's Club for 30 years and made an impact on everyone who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Cozette Friedhofen.

Sandra is survived by her husband, Jack; children, Jack (Tammy) Stinson of Nixa and Jill (Steve) Cox of Springfield; grandchildren Natalee (Felicia) Stinson, Corey Stinson, Hunter (Lauren) Cox and Lauren Cox; great-grandson, Niko Stinson; sister, JoAn (Jack) Inman; brother, Andy (Brenda) Friedhofen; sister-in-law, Dee Talbutt and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She is also survived by her sweet, furry companion, Piper.

Sandra enjoyed playing tennis, gardening, shopping, decorating and attending events for her children and grandchildren. She loved to love! Her husband and kids meant the world to her, and being a grandma and great-grandma was her favorite, most passionate role. She always said her grandchildren were not spoiled, just well loved. She meant the world to all of us and will be greatly missed. We love you, "a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck…"

Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, February 27, 2022 at 2:30 PM at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until the time of service. Burial will be Monday, February 28 at 11:00 AM in Hazelwood Cemetery.
