Sandra Lea "Sandy" Moore, age 69, died Tuesday January 26, 2016 at Manor Care Health Center in Springfield, Missouri.

Sandy, the third of four children, was born July 17, 1946 in Neosho, Missouri to Howard and Marcella Powelson.

She married G.L. (Gary) Moore on February 26, 1966 in Amarillo, Texas. They enjoyed 36 years of marriage. Sandy is survived by their son, Dane Michael Moore, of the home, who was always her pride and joy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary, her parents, and her sister Joy Bea Peck. Sandy is survived by her brothers Howard, "Bud", Powelson and wife Diane, of Firestone, Colorado and Donald and his wife Stefania of Joplin, Missouri and a large host of friends and family.

The family wishes to express their thanks and gratitude to the staff of Manor Care Health Center and Sandy's lifelong friends Connie and Suzanne for their concern and care during her extended illness.

Visitation will be Saturday January 30, 2016 from 1:00pm – 2:00pm at Gorman-Sharpf Funeral Home, 1947 E. Seminole in Springfield. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00pm. Interment will then be at Eastlawn Cemetery in Springfield.
