Sally Mae (Gibson) Davidson was born Feb 11, 1931, the youngest daughter of Stella and Hueston Gibson. She met the love of her life Jack while walking to her church on Sunday morning. Sally was baptized on April 7, 1950 at Pythian Ave Baptist Church. Sally graduated from Senior High School and Draughon's Business School and went to work for the Frisco Railway. Sally married Jack in 1949 and they were blessed with 3 children; Julie, Bob, and Brenda. Sally continued to work for 39 years, retiring from Burlington Northern in 1987. Jack and Sally weathered many storms together, always leaning on one another for 65 ½ years. They built their dream house in 1977 on a hill near Turners Station where they shared many good times and great music with friends and family. Sally always put her families' needs first. She lived Proverbs 31. Sally was preceded in death by her parents, Hueston and Stella; sister, Roberta; brothers, Mike and John; and beloved daughter Brenda in 2008. Sally is survived by her husband, Jack; daughter, Julie Daily; son, Bob (Judy); grandchildren, Matt Daily, Bobbie Jo Davidson-Caine (Brian), Chase Davidson (Tiffany), Jessica Weymuth (Chris), Hunter Jackson Davidson, and Jade Alexandria Gray; great grandchildren, Josalyn, Lilly, and Peyton Weymuth, and Cameron Robert Caine. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, December 30, at 2 pm at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home, with a visitation from 1 pm until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Maple Park Cemetery.
