S. Gene Campbell, 81, of Springfield, surrounded by his loving family went to the arms of his Lord and Savior at 8:25 p.m. February 7, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his very caring wife of 58 years, Shirley; sons, David and Darryl Campbell of Springfield; granddaughter, Courtney Faith Ullrich Campbell, Springfield; grandsons, Wesley Campbell, Springfield and Clayton Campbell and wife Julianna, Columbia, MO; great grandson, Soren James Campbell (son of Clayton and Julianna); brother, Lloyd Campbell and wife Mary Lou, Kansas City; sisters, Mildred Hudson, Fresno, CA and Venetta Hayes, Mt.
