Ruth E. Pipkorn, age 97, of Springfield, MO passed away at ManorCare Monday, March 6, 2017 in Springfield, MO.

She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Springfield.

Ruth is preceded in death by her husband Gaylord N. Pipkorn; father Chrest S. Sorensen; mother Annie E. (Fagley) Sorensen; sisters, Myrtle B. Jensen and Eleanora C. (Orme) Kline; and brother Roy J. Sorensen.

She is survived by daughters, Ileen R. Kendall and husband Donald, Springfield, MO and Beverly A. Cohen, Centennial, CO; son Rodney G. Pipkorn and wife Glenda, Port Washington, WI; six grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 18, 2017 in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home with the Rev. Johnny Phifer of Walnut Lawn Church of God and Dr. Tammy Jahnke, PMA, Prince of Peace Lutheran Church officiating. Visitation will be from 9 to 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 18, 2017 in the funeral home. Burial will be in Elroy Cemetery in Elroy, WI on June 17, 2017.
