Ruth W. Immekus, 89 of Springfield, Missouri passed away Monday, February 28, 2011 at 12:20 PM in Select Specialty Hospital. She was born October 3, 1921 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Carl and Mabel Langenbeck Jag. She graduated from Maplewood High School and spent most of her life in St. Louis. In 2005 she moved to Springfield to be closer to family. Ruth was a member of the Christian Science Church. She is survived by her husband, Wayne O. Immekus of the home; two sons and their wives, Bruce Imemekus and Marla of Rogersville, and Kurt Immekus and Janet of Howell, Michigan; four grandchildren, Laura Bays and husband, Michael of Bella Vista, Arkansas, Philip Immekus of Springfield, Sarah Jachym and husband, Dave of Richland, Michigan, and Katie Norton and husband, Chuck of Battle Creek, Michigan; and a brother, Will Jag of St. Louis, Missouri. Graveside services will be Friday, March 4, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in Missouri Veteran's Cemetery under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel.
