Ruth Aleda Grier, age 89 of Springfield, MO, passed away on February 11, 2017, in Cox South Hospital. She was born May 25, 1927 in Great Bend, KS the daughter of Walter and Hulda Dorthea Dreyzehner.

She was a member of Second Baptist Church of Springfield, MO.

Ruth is survived by husband, Harry Grier of Springfield, MO; daughter and son-in-law, Janet and David Garside of Nottinghamshire, England, daughter and son-in-law, Rochelle and Darren Reno of Wheatland, MO; grandson, Benjamin Garside of London, England; granddaughter and husband, Tiffany and Peter Watts of London, England.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, February 17, 2017 in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home with the Reverend Dr. John Marshall officiating. Burial will be in Eastlawn Cemetery. No visitation is scheduled.
