Russell Edward Campbell Sr., 92, of Springfield passed away Sunday, October 7, 2012. He was born June 21, 1920 in Jasper, Missouri. A long time resident of Springfield, MO, Russell was a veteran of WWII and held an affection for Harley Davidson motorcycles. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Dorothy, two sons Russell and Mike, a daughter Lynda Young, four grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00pm to 8:00pm in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Graveside service with full military honors will be Thursday, October 10, 2012, 11:00am at Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
