Rudy Patterson, 69 of Springfield passed away Thursday, September 7th in Springfield, Mo. surrounded by is family.

Rudy was born in Searcy, Arkansas to Rudolph and Marie Patterson, he graduated as the valedictorian of the class of 1972 of Searcy High School.He continued his education attending the University of Arkansas and received his Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 1976. He began his career as a pharmacist in Springfield, Mo. that same year and spent his entire career in pharmacy in the Springfield area.

Two of Rudy's greatest loves were playing golf, when his health allowed, and following his beloved Arkansas Razorbacks.

Rudy was preceded in death by his father Rudolph Patterson. He is survived by his wife Margery Scriven Patterson, mother Marie Patterson, sister Joanne (Jim) Colebank, father and mother-in-law Larry and Joy Scriven, sister and brother-in-law Denise and David Slagle, nephews and nieces; Cameron Colebank, TJ Jackson, Krystal Vance, Kurt Downing, along with numerous other great nephews, nieces and close friends that Rudy always welcomed as family.

The family would like to thank the medical personnel of Cox South ICU for the excellent care and kindness not only to Rudy but his family as well.
