Rudolph F. Wacker II, "Rudy", died suddenly, of a heart attack, on August 9, 2015. Rudy was born in Burlington, VT, on August 30, 1957, the son of U.S.A.F. General Rudolph F. Wacker of N.Y., and Betty Strobel Wacker of Paris, AR, both of whom predeceased him, after 55 years of marriage, in Springfield, MO. Rudy obtained his B.S.B.A. and his M.S. in Public Administration from the University of Arkansas. He married Elaine Reeves Wacker of Calico Rock, AR and they embarked upon Rudy's Hospital Administration career, of 27 years, that took them to Amarillo, TX Cleveland, OH and eventually St. Joseph, MO, where he retired as C.A.O. of Heartland Health Care, Rudy was instrumental in the Hospital receiving the coveted Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. He retired in 2009 to Fair Grove, MO and helped care for his parents during their final years. He loved his "mountain top" home, and his 40-acre farm, and loved growing his "hot Chile peppers". He kept busy as a "Management Consultant", at Q.B.II. with his Partners Ron & Patty Marshall of Red Crow, Inc. Rudy is survived by his daughter Lindsay Sargent, and his son Christopher Wacker, grandsons Nicholas and Quentin Sargent, all of Overland Park, KS, brother Paul (Judy) Wacker, Springfield, MO, nieces Nikki Wallar, Whitefish, MT, Jamie Gregory, St. Louis, MO, and Mandy Dinnell, Mt. Pleasant, S.C. Rudy loved deer hunting and pistol shooting at his farm with his brother Paul, "son-in-law" Adam Sargent, and nephews Erik Gregory, and Robert Dinnell. Services for Rudy will be on Friday, August 14, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home, Springfield, MO.
