Rudean Ruth (Looney) Colson, age 80, was born the ninth of nine children to the union of Roy T and Mary (Warren) Looney, in Springfield, MO. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jay C. Colson, Sr., father and mother; two sisters, Glecia and Lurvenia, five brothers, Udell, Louie, Clarence, Edwin and Carlston, and daughter, Regina Young. She leaves to mourn, her sister, Mary Sue Adams, Springfield; her sons, Mervin Young, and Jay and Tony Colson, Springfield; her grandson and great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Thursday, August 28, 2014 in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel with burial following in Hazelwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-6 pm Wednesday in the funeral home.
