Roy T. Young, 89, passed away on July 26, 2013. He had been at Missouri s Veterans Home for the past four years. He served in the Navy during WWII. Roy graduated from the University of Missouri and retired from New York Life Insurance Company. He loved to garden and enjoyed boating on the lake with his family. He also was an avid sports fan. He was a member of Kings Way Methodist church for well over 40 years. Roy was preceded in death by his wife, Corrine Young in 2009, and son Bruce Young, 2010. Surviving are his two children and their spouses; Stephen (Pam) R. Young, DDS and Debbie (Steve) Tolliver; four grandchildren; Stephen (Laura) Young Jr., Sara (Nathan) Bauer, DDS, Eric Tolliver DDS, and Matt Tolliver; and a great granddaughter, Addison Bauer. Visitation will be Monday, July 29, 2013 from 6:00PM to 7:30PM at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Graveside service will be Tuesday, July 30, 2013 4:00 PM at Hazelwood Cemetery.
