Rosemary Swift Ballard, 90, Springfield, MO passed away Saturday, April 10, 2010 in Christian Health Care West. She was born January 19, 1920 in Uhrichsville, OH to Carl and Dorothy Swift. Rosemary graduated from Springfield Senior High School and Drury University. After marrying Rosemary moved to Texas and eventually began teaching earning her masters degree. Retired from teaching, she returned to the Springfield area. She was a faithful member of Kings Way United Methodist Church. Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Milton Swift; sister, Karleen Swift Clay and nephew, Carl Lloyd Clay. She is survived by step-brother, Dr. Kenneth Knabb, and wife, Lenore, Springfield, MO; nieces, Linda Clay Niles, Atlanta, GA and Ellen Corrigan Clay, Hudson, OH. Graveside services will be held at 11AM Thursday, April 22, 2010 in Rose Hill Cemetery East, Billings, MO under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel.
