Rosalie Hite, age 77, of Springfield, Mo., passed away due to respiratory failure at 8:00 A.M. On Friday, November 9, 2012 at the James River Care Center in Springfield, Missouri. Rosalie was born September 8, 1935, in Nevada, Missouri, and later moved to Kansas City, where she graduated from Bishop Hogan High School. During her time at Bishop Hogan, Rosalie met the love of her life, the late Cdr. Philip R. "Bob" Hite. Rosalie and Bob were married in February of 1957, shortly after Bob earned his engineering degree from Kansas University and was commissioned as an officer in the United States Navy. Rosalie was a member of Immaculate Conception Church. She is Survived by her three children; daughter, Pam and her husband Lou, of Fenton, Missouri, son; Kevin and his wife Jill, of Springfield, and her son Jeff and wife Julie, of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Kayla and her husband Eddie, Kelly and her husband Steve, Megan, Philip, and Andrew. Rosalie will also carry in her heart the excitement she enjoyed over the recent birth of her first Great Grandchild, Dane. A service is planned for family and close friends at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in Saint Louis. There will be a gathering at the home of Pam and Lou following the service.
