Ronald J. Dendinger age 79, of Springfield MO, passed away at 5:59 p.m. on January 15, 2022, at Cox South Hospital after a long Covid related illness. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and business partner. Ron loved his family more than life. He had such a pure heart and made this world a better place to be. He will be missed more than words can say.

Ron was a member of Hedgehoppers Flying Club. He was also a member of Kings Church of Springfield. Ron was the owner of Metro Motors for 29 years and loved his crew and customers.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Monica Heimes, his father, Maurice, and his daughter, Karen Fay.

He is survived by his bride of 45 years, Deena Dendinger, Springfield; son, John Dendinger, Nixa; daughter, Rhonda Schafferle, Bellevue, NE; daughter, Jane Schmitt, Rogersville; daughter, Paula Malone (Jeff Boyer), Springfield; son, Thomas Perkins, Springfield; son, Brian Lail, Elkhart, IN; 66 ½ grandchildren; sister, Betty Keiser, Hartington, NE; brothers, Bill, Jerry and Terry Dendinger.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 21, 2022, in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home with the Reverend Jack Essary officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 20, 2022, in the funeral home.
