Ronald Truman Beckham, 73, of Springfield passed away on Monday, November 12, 2012 in Christian Health Care East. He was born on May 10, 1939 in St. Louis, MO to Truman and Thelma Massengale Beckham. Ron was retired from Springfield Public Schools as a Custodian and was a member of Harvest Church. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, a son Raymond Beckham, and a sister Dorotha Jean Loveday. Ron is survived by his wife, Margaret Vaughn Beckham; a daughter Angela Jones (Carl); two sons, David Beckham (Leslie) and Tony Beckham (Erica); nine grandchildren Trent and Nicholas Jones, Amber Junte (Robert) Logan, Clayton, Kaitlyn, Carter and Kaylie Beckham; two great-grandchildren Allison Chaney and Emma Junte; and one sister, Glenda Butler (Phillip). Funeral services will be Thursday, November 15, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in Harvest Church, 5420 N. Hwy H, Springfield under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 14, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
