Roger K. Eddy, 79, passed away December 25, 2013 in his home. Born in Palisade, CO he followed his father's footsteps in becoming a Colorado Highway Patrolman. He went on to become a State Youth Officer, a city mayor, and a gold mine security director at Silverton. Moving to Springfield, he joined the Greene County Sheriff Civil Division working until his retirement. At that time he continued his own Civil Process Service until his health failed. He also volunteered many years at Juanita K. Hammons Hall. Survivors include his wife, Anita; daughters, Kathy and Jeff Mitchell, Ft. Collins, CO, Lynn Stolz, Loveland, CO, and Ro; son Brian and Connie Eddy, Epping, NH; stepson, Chad and Johnna Hart, Springfield; 9 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and devoted caregiver Anita Taylor. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, and a daughter. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 from 10:00am to 11:00am in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Graveside Service will be Tuesday at 11:30am in Eastlawn Cemetery with Dr. J.R. Duncan officiating.
