On November 1, 1943, Bobbie married Everett E. "Bud" Wilkinson in St. Joseph, MO, and to this union three children were born. Early in their marriage they moved to Springfield, MO, where they owned and operated Kordel Studio. During the 1960's, they first moved to Waynesville, MO, and then to Dixon, Missouri, while Bud worked at Fort Leonard Wood and Bobbie was a homemaker, happily raising her family. The 1970's took them to Warsaw, MO, where they owned and operated White Branch Marina. Returning to Springfield in the 1980s, Bobbie worked at both SMS and the Elfindale Home Health Care Center. She and Bud became members of American Legion Post 69, where they proudly served for many years, and where recently Bobbie served as President of the Women's Auxiliary. Bobbie was a lifelong bingo enthusiast and she thoroughly enjoyed working and playing bingo with friends at the Legion Hall. She is survived by sister, Ruby Elaine Cox of Kansas City, MO; sister-in-law, Kathryn L. Turpin of Bethany, MO; son Jim and wife Kay (Stokes) Wilkinson of Springfield, MO; daughter Fran and husband Roger Beam of Jerome, MO; and son Ned Wilkinson and partner Chris Leavy of Winter Park, Florida; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; and all other family members and friends.
