Obituary

Bob Wheeler, 77, of Springfield, Missouri died early Friday at the Cambridge Center. Bob was born in Weaubleau, Missouri in 1932 to Earnest C. Wheeler and Pearl Bower. He married Jean Shryer in 1952 and lived in Springfield until his death. He is survived by his son Rob Wheeler, daughter-in-law, Missy Wheeler, and grandson Joe Wheeler all of Kansas City, Missouri. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening, March-18th from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March-19th at Fairview-Butcher Cemetery, near Weaubleau. Bob graduated from Weaubleau High School and attended Southwest Missouri State University. He was employed in sales with Sears for thirty years and a long time local business owner. Bob was the co-owner of Star Appliance Service, Mar-Beck Appliance Parts, and Floorcraft Furniture in Springfield. He was an early member of National Avenue Christian Church and a recent member of Brentwood Christian Church. At his request, Bob, provided tissue and bone donations to local patients in need upon his death. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Southwest Missouri Humane Society or the Wheeler Family Leadership Scholarship at Drury University.
