Robert Terence "Terry" Cox of Branson, MO passed away at home on May 14, 2014 with his family at his side. Terry was 75 years of age. He was born March 11, 1939 in Wichita, KS to Francis and Mary Elizabeth Cox and was raised in Springfield, MO. Terry attended the University of Missouri, where he received his law degree and met his wife of 50 years, Janett (McGregor) Cox. Terry and Jan raised 3 sons in Columbia, MO where he enjoyed a 38 year-career with the Shelter Insurance Companies. Upon his retirement, Terry held the position of Executive Vice President and General Counsel. In addition to his legal profession, Terry was a real estate developer and business entrepreneur having launched several successful businesses, including Table Rock State Park Marina, that his family continues to operate today. Terry is survived by his spouse Janett (McGregor) Cox of Branson, MO; son and daughter-in-law Robert Cox, Jr. and Stacey Cox of Branson, MO; son and daughter-in-law Patrick Cox and Holly Cox of Branson, MO; son and daughter-in-law Philip Cox and Carissa Cox of Branson, MO; as well as 11 grand children who all reside in Branson, MO. His sister Marilyn Cox of Springfield, MO survives Terry. Terry was preceded in death by parents Francis Cox and Mary Elizabeth (DeLaMater) Cox of Springfield, MO and brother Thomas Cox of Springfield, MO. Terry was a member of Our Lady Of The Lake Catholic Church in Branson, MO. Private family services are scheduled and burial will be at Hazelwood Cemetery in Springfield, MO.
