IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robert Mark
Pike
March 14, 1961 – November 20, 2025
Robert Mark Pike, 64, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on November 20, 2025. Born on March 14, 1961, Robert shared a special birthday bond with his daughter, Presley Ann Donelson, a connection he treasured deeply throughout his life. He was a proud Springfield native, born and raised in the community he loved.
Robert is survived by his daughter and only child, Presley Ann Donelson, whom he loved beyond measure, and by his beloved grandchildren, Jaxon Bradley Martz—his whole heart—and Jewel Jennifer Pike, of whom he was immensely proud. He is also survived by his brothers, Leland Courtney and Michael Pike, as well as his step-children, Nickolas Velliquette, Lauren Velliquette, and Joseph Velliquette, whose lives he cherished being part of.
He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Lou Kayes, his father Robert Ray Pike, and his step-father Charles O. Kayes.
Robert lived a full and remarkable life. A master of many trades, he worked as a chef, REALTOR®, business owner, and—by every measure—one of the best salesmen anyone could ever meet. His generosity was unmatched; he would give his last dollar to someone in need without hesitation. Successful, funny, and always the life of the party, Robert carried a presence that filled every room.
He spent summers at the Lake of the Ozarks on his boat surrounded by friends and family. He loved golf, cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs, traveling to Las Vegas, and—most of all—making memories with his grandchildren, who brought him pure joy. Robert often said, "The secret to life is you have to throw a personal party for yourself at the same time every day," a line that perfectly reflects his outlook and vibrant spirit.
Robert was a loyal, longtime supporter of Missouri State University, giving consistently throughout his life and believing in the value of helping others.
Visitation will be held at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home on Monday, November 24th from 5pm -7pm. Funeral Mass at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church on Tuesday, November 25th at 10:30am. Robert will be laid to rest at Rivermonte Memorial Gardens Mausoleum following the Funeral Mass. A reception will be held at Avanzare's on Tuesday, November 25th at 1pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Rescue One.
Above all else, Robert's legacy is one of profound love. His bond with Presley was the cornerstone of his life. His grandchildren were his laughter, his pride, and his purpose. His family—including the step-children he lovingly helped raise alongside Jennifer Velliquette-Pike—was the heartbeat of his world.
Robert's warmth, generosity, and unforgettable presence will forever be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
