Robert Charles Livingston, 83 of Springfield passed away Thursday, September 29, 2011 in St. John's Hospital. Robert was born on August 15, 1928 in Springfield, MO. He was a U.S. Army Veteran having served three tours in Vietnam. Following his military retirement he moved to Springfield, MO where he resided for 32 years. He married Barbara Ruth Livingston on July 31, 1924. Barbara preceded him in death. Robert is survived by a son, Robert Charles Livingston, Jr. and a grandson, Roy W. Livingston. Robert, known to his friends as Bob, was a great man, devoted husband, a loyal friend to many, and loved his animals. Graveside services with military honors will be held Thursday, October 13, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, 5201 South Southwood Rd, Springfield, under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home, 1947 E. Seminole, Springfield. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
