Robert Lynn Dimond of Springfield, MO, 82, passed away on Sept. 5th, 2015. Born April 22nd, 1933 in Poplar Grove, IL, he was retired United States Air Force and Ford Motor Company. His parents Jack and Eleanor Dimond and one sister Marilyn J Shoepski preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife Deloris Dimond, daughters and sons-in-law Ali and Kerri Haghi of Olathe, KS and John and Dawn Cox of Blue Springs, MO, five grandchildren Karah and Kevin Haghi, Amanda and Josh Ware, and Steven Cox, two great-granddaughters Charlotte and Cecily Ware, and one brother Rick Dimond of Belvedere, IL. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 am on Friday, September 11, 2015 in Trinity Lutheran Church. A visitation will precede the service from 10:30-11:30. Burial with full military honors will follow at 1 pm in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations made to the Alzheimers Foundation or Wounded Warrior Project.
