Robert F. Delashmitt, 100, passed away February 24, 2009, in St. John's Hospital. He was employed with Cook Paint and Varnish Co. for 35 years. He was a member for 50 years of Schweitzer United Methodist Church, where he served on many committees and was also an usher. He was past chairman of the Easter Seals and a member of the Kiwanis Club. He devoted much time and effort in working with the Boy Scouts and the Boy's Club. No formal visitation is planned, however friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday, in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday, February 27, 2009, in Schweitzer United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Missouri Veteran's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the charity of the donor's choice.
