IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robert Allen
Dixon
October 15, 1943 – January 21, 2025
Robert Allen Dixon was born in Richmond, Missouri on October 15th, 1943. His parents were Samuel W. Dixon and Lillian E. Dixon. He attended Branson schools, and Southwest Missouri State University, and proudly served in the United States Navy from 1963 to 1983. He met the love of his life, Monica Pierce, in 1962. Excited to start their new lives together, the two were married on February 5, 1967.
He lived a life of service, love, and dedication. A proud veteran, he served his country honorably before retiring from the military and bringing his family home to the Branson area after years of traveling the world. His love for the ocean was matched only by his love for his family and his unwavering commitment to his community.
He was a member of First Baptist Church in Branson, where he found great joy in worship and fellowship. His deep faith and love for the Lord guided every aspect of his life, and he strived to be a faithful servant in all he did. Whether through his church, work, or community service.
He worked as a land title researcher and examiner for eighteen years, ensuring accuracy and integrity in every detail. His passion for leadership and service was shown during his nine years on the Hollister School Board, where he served as president for six years, advocating tirelessly for the education and future of local children.
He also devoted eighteen years to the Western Taney County Fire District Board, supporting the safety and well-being of his neighbors. In addition, his sixteen years as the Recorder of Deeds for Taney County was a role he cherished deeply, as it allowed him to connect with the community and ensure its records were preserved with care.
Robert lived a full and vibrant life, enjoying the simple pleasures of nature and adventure. He loved spending time outdoors, whether fishing, hunting, boating, or camping with family and friends. He also cherished the thrill of driving his Jaguar, which gave him freedom and excitement. These hobbies reflected his zest for life and his appreciation for God's creation. He created countless cherished memories with those he loved most through these passions.
Above all, he cherished his family. He adored his wife, whose love and support meant the world to him. He was a devoted father to his three children, instilling in them the values of hard work, kindness, and integrity. His greatest joy came from spending time with his grandchildren, who brought light and laughter to his life.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents and his cherished daughter, Julie. He is survived by his loving wife, Monica, who was his partner in life and steadfast supporter through all of life's adventures. He leaves behind his devoted daughter, Robin, and her husband, Bruce, his son, David, and his wife, Sarah. He was a proud grandfather to Stacey and Tyler Kenyon, Bryson and Brayden Koerber, and Austin and Cameron Dixon, all of whom were his pride and joy. He is also survived by his dear sister, Lisa, and her husband, Mickey, with whom he shared a special bond. His family was the heart of his life, and his love and dedication to them will remain a legacy.
He will be remembered as a man of integrity, a dedicated servant, and a loving husband, father, and friend. His legacy of service will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.
