Obituary

Roald "Bud" Johnson, 57, Springfield, MO, passed away Friday, July 10, 2015 in Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO. He was born October 14, 1957 in Dover, New Jersey, the son of Roald Eric Johnson and Helen Roberta (Gibbs) Johnson. Faith and family were Bud's greatest passions. He graduated from Baptist Bible College in 1992 with a Pastoral Degree and served the Lord faithfully though various ministries. He used his mechanic skills to meet the needs of others. Anyone who knew Bud knows how much he enjoyed working on cars and tinkering in the garage. He married the love of his life, Janet, in 1981, and they shared many adventures together, including several trips to Maine, where they honeymooned. Bud was preceded in death by his father, Roald. He is survived by his loving wife, Janet Johnson; one son, Eric Johnson and his fiancé, Caitlin McGregor; three daughters and their husbands, Elizabeth "Liz' and Kerry Noe; Rebecca and Jason Shaver; and Michele and Jeff Lopez; his mother, Helen Emire; a brother and his wife, George and Amy Bullis; step-brother and his wife, Michael and Trinh Emire; two sisters and their husbands, Sonja and Douglas Andres; and Katherine and Ray Nieves; and five grandchildren, Kristen, Emma, Carter, Roark and Benjamin. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2015 in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel with the Reverend Clinton Everett officiating. A private family burial was held in Eastlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Word of Life Bible Institute, P.O.
