Richard David Roman was a kind and happy man who could always be found wearing a grin. He was a gentle man who loved his family very much. Rich was born on December 19, 1935 in Pomona, CA to Paul and Oneta Roman. He graduated from Pomona High School and later served active duty in the U.S. Army from 1955-1956. He spent most of his career in delivery sales and enjoyed meeting people and never knew a stranger. Rich was married to Sharon Roman for 48 years, and he loved her greatly. The couple loved to laugh together and their laughter was infectious. In 1995 they moved from California to Missouri to retire and enjoy living in the country. Rich loved to fish, and he would sneak away to the lake with his boat any chance that he could. He enjoyed sharing this hobby with anyone who was willing to join him. In recent years, Rich made many great friends playing pool at the Nixa Senior Center. He was nicknamed "Lefty". He looked forward each day to his time spent there with "the gang." Rich was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather and his family was most important to him. He is preceded in death by his wife Sharon. He is survived by their two sons, Bret and Todd Roman. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association and the St. Jude Children's Hospital.
