IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Richard A.
Killingsworth
February 14, 1962 – January 24, 2026
Richard was born February 14, 1962, to Laura Ann and Marshall Killingsworth in Sumter, South Carolina. Richard's dad was in the Air Force, and the family moved several times during his childhood.
When he was four the family moved to Austin, Texas. A year later they moved to Taipei, Taiwan. The Chinese children were in awe of Richard's blond crewcut and loved patting him on the head. The family returned to the states two years later and made their way back to Texas where Richard graduated from high school.
Richard worked in construction for many years and helped his mom and stepfather build their house in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. He earned his associate degree at Crowder College. He lost a leg due to illness but that did not stop him from building a small boat, restoring a car, or building furniture. He enjoyed staying busy and helping people. He was a very kind soul and will be dearly missed by family, friends, and fishing buddies.
Richard is survived by a sister, two brothers, an aunt, uncle, three cousins, four nephews, three nieces, four great-nieces, and four great-nephews.
Private family services will be held at a later date in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.
