On Tuesday, February 4, 2020, Richard F. Johnson (83) of Springfield, Missouri, entered the gates of heaven. Richard was born on September 14, 1936 in Lowell, Massachusetts to the late Robert Fish Johnson & Margaret Ellen Johnson (née Dupras). Richard was a man with many talents and accomplishments in his life. He was a Postmaster with the United States Postal Service In Littleton, Massachusetts. He proudly served in 3 branches of the United States Military. He was a godly man who had led many to receive Christ as their Lord and Savior. Richard never knew a stranger and treated everyone like they were a part of his family.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents, and also his wife of 45 years, Dorothy "Cheerie" Ann Johnson (née Stroud), who were waiting for him at the gates of heaven.
Richard is survived by his loving partner Carol, together for ten years, and his daughters: Robin (Stephen) Woolsey of MO, Trina (Michael) Lawrence of CA, Sharene (Robert) Zarecky of PA, Rachel Johnson of NY, April (Kurtis) Tideman of CO, Debbie (Chris) Caywood of MO, Leanne (Justin) Mozingo of MO and sons: Luke (Jeanette) Johnson of CA, Richard (Sara) Johnson of CA, Jeremiah Jack (Michaelle) Johnson of CA, Alan (Brianna) Travierso of UT, Jon (Melanie) Bursey of IA, as well as 30 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren of whom he was so proud. Also surviving him is his older brother Robert (Mary) Johnson of NC and his younger sister Ruth (Russell) Place of CA.
